During an outstanding 20 year career protecting life in the oceans, Captain Locky MacLean has circumnavigated The Globe, captained ships to the Antarctic, chased illegal fishing vessels through ice in Ross Sea, defended bluefin tuna in the Eastern Mediterranean during the Libyan war, supported First Nations exposing environmental crimes in Canada, removed record setting amounts of marine plastics from remote islands and open ocean, confiscated illegal fishing gear in the Pacific and Mediterranean Sea, and mounted rapid response Aid campaigns to Caribbean Islands after the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Maria, Irma and Dorian.
A veteran campaign director for environmental NGO’s, Locky has produced dozens of short environmental impact videos that have reached millions of viewers. He is a recipient of the Paul Watson Medal for Courage in Defense of the Oceans.
